ACTON VILLA INDOOR SOCCER
We offer four different options:
Open Coed (Sundays), 35+Coed (FRIDAYS), Women (Wednesdays), Mens (Thursdays).
Youth soccer is organised by
Georgetown SC.
All games are played at the
Dufferin Centre in Prospect Park in Acton. (click for location details).

The following are the highlights:

6 v 6 (including goalie) on state-of-the-art field.

Optimal team size is 10.

Register to play as an individual, part of a group, or as a complete team.

Referees at all games. We have changed how we assign referees after some problems last year.

Men, Women and Sunday coed are open age. Minimum age is 18, but we will make a few exceptions for skilled, strong, younger players. We group teams according to ability when required to try to keep games close.

Coed 35+ on Fridays: all players 35 or over, EXCEPT that if a couple signs up to play together, their average age must be 35 or more.

Sunday coed teams must have a minimum of two female players on the field at all times. Friday 35+ coed teams must have a minimum of one female player on the field at all times.

Team captain must pay for full team - credit card, cheque(s), or cash - on or before the Deadline Date.

REGISTRATION FEE ONLY COVERS PLAYING IN THE SPECIFIC LEAGUE YOU HAVE
REGISTERED FOR. You can play as a guest player on other teams in the same league.
DO NOT play if you are NOT REGISTERED and do NOT ALLOW UNREGISTERED PLAYERS to play on your team.
Any players with outstanding balances from previous seasons will not be
eligible to register and play untill outstanding balances are paid.

Team payments are based on the rate of 9 players so every player after the 9th player will reduce the individual cost per player.
If you join late in the season, there are reduced rates. Weeks 1-4 full price remains in effect then the following table applies:

PAYMENT:
For 2011 - 2012 indoor, we have had to change things a bit.
Payment options remain cash, cheque, or credit card.
Discounted Team payments must be received at least 4 weeks before the season starts.
FULL TEAM PAYMENT
Full team registrations help us with scheduling and help you to ensure your team is fully registered without glitches. We give a discount as a result, but because of our payment system, it causes us a lot of work behind the scenes.
So, this year, we will still give the discount for teams but only if you get the Complete Team Payment to us by September 1 for the fall session, and by December 12 for the Winter session.
The team appoints one person who registers using the TEAM PAYMENT option during their on-line registration. That person, Team Captain, is responsible for submitting payment on-line by credit card for the total team registration fee or off-line with cash and/or chq(s) made payable to the Acton Soccer Club for the total amount of the team registration fee.
Then, gather up the printed copies of the downloadable registration forms and provide them to the registrar BEFORE FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 2ND 2011 for entry in the system. At least 9 player registration forms must be provided before the deadline and can be provided as scanned copies or on paper. The information must be complete, including Postal Code, for each player.
Any remaining registration forms must be provided to the Registrar at least 3 days prior to the first game.
As always, until the total registration amount has been paid, the team will remain wait-listed.
COMPLETE TEAM fee covers 12 player registrations for the session. A team may add more if they wish, but the 13th and any more beyond that are an extra $25 to cover our registration costs with the District Office.
GROUPS OF PLAYERS (NOT A COMPLETE TEAM PAYING ON TIME)
If nobody wants to pay the full team amount, or you don't have enough players for a full team, or you missed the deadline for the discount, you can still keep a group together. Just email the list of players to
registrar@actonsoccer.org. All the players then register on-line as individuals and in the "team" box either put the name of a team or enter the names of some players you wish to play with so we can recognise you all. See REQUESTS below for more details.
PAYMENT OPTIONS:
You may choose from 2 PAYMENT methods at the end of the registration.
1) VISA or MASTERCARD: will give you immediate confirmation of your registration.
2) CHEQUE/CASH:
You are
not registered until you have paid. By selecting this payment method, you print a copy of your registration invoice (a copy is also emailed to you) which is submitted with your payment (cheques made payable to ACTON SOCCER CLUB). Please write the invoice# in the memo section of your cheque.
- OPTION A: send both in by mail (don't do this with cash: cheque only for mail-in payment) to ACTON SOCCER CLUB, P.O. BOX 248, ACTON, ONTARIO L7J 2M4. You are not registered until your payment is processed. To avoid disappointment, please send payment straight away.
- OPTION B: bring both to the Acton Soccer Club office at the D.R.H.C.C., 30 Park Avenue, Acton during office hours posted on our home page. Email contact: registrar@actonsoccer.org or Phone (519) 853-8317.

NSF cheques are subject to a $25 administration fee. Please note that
you will also be charged NSF fees from your own banking institution.

DATES:
There are two sessions:
12 Weeks Sep 27 - Dec 18, 2011, and
14 Weeks Jan 8 - Apr 15, 2012 (no game on April 8).
REQUESTS:
Requests - including registration of complete teams - are welcome in the ADULT categories. The game will be 6 v 6, so teams are to have 10 players target, 12 maximum.
If you are a COMPLETE TEAM, you are responsible to find your players. We recommend 10 players per team, but you can have up to 12 for the same price (which is equal to 9 individual registrations).
If your group can only raise (say) 6 players who register as individuals, the rest will be assigned from others who register as individuals. If you nominate ten players, but only (say) six have paid with two weeks to go before the season starts, Acton Villa will fill the team for you. And in the end we might not be able to fit your original players into your team: so tell them to act quickly!
If you wish to have a team made up of more than 12 specific players, please contact us at www.actonsoccer.org as the uniform sets typically have 12 shirts.
GROUPS/INDIVIDUALS:
Now if your "team" is only a few players - 2 to 8 - we will keep you together combined with individuals or other groups.
Co-ED or MEN / WOMEN?
ADULT Co-Ed is intended to be less competitive and less serious than the mid-week evening Men's sessions. It is more competitive than the midweek Women's sessions, however, just by its nature. The schedule will be set so that teams of various calibres are grouped. All games remain strictly no-slide-tackles.
Co-ed is Low-Contact for recreational play for a mix of ages and sizes, and mixed gender. Highly accomplished players should temper their play accordingly, or sign up for the men's leagues instead. If you want a very competitive game, COED is not for you! Competitive women will find coed is fine: competitive men may not.
In all of the leagues, we have teams of neighbours, friends, co-workers - or take pot luck, register on your own and make new friends.
TEAM SIZES:
Adult: Maximum recommended 12 per team, 6v6. Acton SC will set up teams to be 10 players. You can choose to have bigger teams. Complete teams may have up to 12 registrations included in the complete team fee: any extra are $25 to cover District registration costs.
Playing times: (1 hour each week)
Your game time will vary week by week, and the finishing time (last game time) depends on the popularity of the league.
